Cooking in Sicily

Allison Scola

Allison Scola

Campania is our home in Italy, so when people ask me about tours to Sicily, I send them directly to my friend Allison Scola and her company Experience Sicily.

I first met Allison at an event where she performed an original song about the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory. I was impressed and asked her to perform at a Feast of the Seven Fishes pop-up dinner that I hosted in Manhattan. Since then, we've become friends and colleagues. If I ever take an actual vacation myself, I'll probably go on one of Allison's tours.

For those who want to eat, cook and drink wine in Sicily, she has a phenomenal tour this May co-hosted by the chef and owner Melissa Muller of Eolo Seasonal Sicilian Kitchen. You may have seen Chef Muller on PBS recently where she took host Michael Colameco on a tour of Sicily. Her book "Rooted in Sicily" will be published by Rizzoli in February 2017.

You'll eat at top restaurants, tour Sicily's best vineyards, take cooking classes with Chef Muller and see extraordinary Greek ruins and UNESCO World Heritage sites. Allison has a promotion right now, $400 off per person if you register by noon on Thursday, March 31, 2016
